Established in 2007, our BC Lighting Sales team is a talented, energetic, passionate and creative group of professional multi-line Manufacturers' Sales Representatives. With over 30 years of combined experience, our team sells the finest lighting and related products throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Western Pennsylvania. Our product offerings range from high-quality builder grade commodity lighting to high-end fully customizable decorative lighting, as well as lighting house controls and light bulbs.
Our mission is to provide the highest level of service and develop true partnerships with our customers and our manufacturers'. By bringing our expertise and passion to every meeting, we inspire our customers and represent the values of our manufacturers'.
We set ourselves apart by establishing a multi-channel distribution agency, working with, but not limited to the best retail lighting showrooms, electrical distributors, residential designers, hospitality design firms, architects, landscape architects and home builders.
We truly pride ourselves in sharing our knowledge and expertise with our customers. From product knowledge trainings to merchandising in the field, to walking jobsites and laying out jobs, we do it all and have the best lines in the industry to fulfill every aspect of your project on time and within budget.
Brad is a 2nd generation lighting rep and broke off from his father's established agency, Krieger and Associates back in 2007. He has been around the industry for many years and customers have seen him grow up in and around the showroom. He and his brother would hang fixtures for their father on the weekends and during the summers as a teenager.
Brad graduated from The Ohio State University and studied Ag. Business. However, after a few opportunities outside of the industry, he came back like so many do. "I really enjoy working with customers and like solving problems. I strive to be a resource for my customers and that comes with knowing your products and your competition".
Brad's agency and life grew when he met his wife and partner in the industry. "Karen showed me how to think big picture and go after different channels without jeopardizing current distribution". We have tried to set ourselves up for the One Stop Shopping experience.
When he is not speeding on the freeway to get to the next customer, he enjoys spending time with his wife Karen and their daughter Alice. "My favorite past time is doing anything outdoors and taking Alice for bike rides."
Karen began her career in lighting over 15 years ago. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Art History, she started working with her cousin, a very well-respected, established rep, Martha Graham of Martha Graham & Associates, on the West Coast of Florida. During Karen's career in Florida, her time was spent working with residential and hospitality interior designers and a select group of retail lighting showrooms. Karen strongly gravitated towards the hospitality and specification side of the lighting business and found her place there. "I enjoy the challenge and creativity involved in hospitality and commercial projects. I love to be a resource in finding the right light for the application."
Flash forward to 2012...through the very small community of lighting reps, Karen met her now husband and business partner Brad. This is when she'll tell you that she "moved to Ohio for love."
Working together, Brad and Karen have set their business up to come full-circle. Brad on the retail/residential side, Karen on the hospitality/specification side.
Karen's portfolio includes lighting hotels, restaurants, medical facilities, assisted living communities, retail stores and high-end residential projects. Karen is a member of ALA, NEWH-Cincinnati Chapter and ASID.
When Karen is not finding the right light for the job, she enjoys an active lifestyle where she can be found exploring and "outdoorsing it" with Brad and their daughter Alice.
